HC seeks fresh report on Jagan's attack Hyderabad: The Hyderabad High Court on Friday asked the Central Government to submit a fresh report explaining with the complete details related to the attempt on the life of opposition leader in the Andhra Pradesh State Assembly Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy at the Visakhapatnam airport.
On Friday, the Centre submitted their report to the court. But a division bench comprising Chief Justice Thottathil B. Radhakrishnan and Justice S.V. Bhatt is not satisfied with the report. They directed the Centre to file a detailed report on the matter again with in a week's time.
While hearing writ petitions on the attack, the bench had directed the Centre to present a report in a sealed cover explaining if the attack constituted a scheduled offence and came under the National Investigation Agency Act.
'This is not we expected from the government. We're not satisfied,' the bench said, after perusing the report. The bench said it wanted details on the position of the Act on the matter and the government's stand on the points raised by Mr. Jaganmohan's counsel. It directed the Centre to present a fresh report within a week and posted the matter for next Friday.
