Konda Murali resigns from MLC post Hyderabad, Dec 22 (INN): Congress leader Konda Murali resgined from the post of Member of Legislative Council on Saturday. Konda Murali, who had recently switched from TRS to Congress party, met Council chairman K. Swamy Goud and submitted his resignation letter.
Murali was accompanied by his wife Konda Surekha during his meeting with the chairman.
Speaking to media persons later, Murali said that he had resigned from the MLC post as to uphold his faith in value-based politics. He said posts were not important in politics if one truly believes in serving the people. He pointed out that he was the first MLC who was elected unanimously in the entire State.
Murali also accused Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao of trying to decimate the opposition by luring their representatives into TRS fold.
Meanwhile, Konda Surekha alleged that the TRS has won the recent Assembly elections by misusing power and spending crore of rupees.
