Polavaram created World Record
Vijayawada, January 6th, 2019: The Polavaram Project in Andhra Pradesh has set a global record on Monday at 8:00 AM by completing 32,100 cubic meters of concrete with in 24 hours. Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu has appreciated everyone involved in achieving the world record.
Around four thousand workers participated in the one day, 24 hour project under the guidance of 24 engineers. Minister for Water Resources Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao stayed at Polavaram on Sunday night to make sure the works went as planned.
Guinness Book of World Records representative Rishid Nath has started the concrete work at 8 AM on Sunday morning. Navayuga Constructions MD Sridhar getting appreciated from everyone for achieving the record.
Around 7,000 tonnes of cement, 22,000 tonnes of sand, 36,000 tonnes of stone was made available for the mega feat. 71 concrete mixers were used. Dam review committee chairman AB Pandya reviewed all the works.
