400 Cr on Polavaram Publicity, says YCP

Visakhapatnam, Feb 25th: Senior YSR Congress Party leader and former minister, Dharmana Prasada Rao said that Chandra Babu Naidu has spent 400 crore on Polavaram Project publicity. He cautioned people to be vigilant and not to get deceived by Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu yet again.

Addressing a massive gathering at Achyutapuram in Yalamanchili constituency on the occasion of successful conclusion of 'Ravali Jagan, Kavali Jagan' program, he reminded people that in the previous elections also Chandrababu Naidu promised loan waivers to DWCRA women's self-help groups. The AP chief minister finally gave them 'Pasupu Kumkuma' to the extent of Rs. 3000, he added.

Dharmana pointed out that because Chandrababu Naidu went back on his promise of loan waivers, the interest amount on these loans piled up and banks forced these women to pay the entire amount with interest compounded. He appealed to women not to be taken for a ride by Chandrababu Naidu again.

The senior YSR Congress party leader observed that the TDP supremo made several promises to farmers which remained unfulfilled. He is now attempting to deceive farmers by crediting Rs.1000 to their accounts without ensuring minimum support price for their crop.

Dharmana criticised Chandrababu Naidu strongly for singing praises of the BJP for the first three years of his rule and then making a U-turn in this regard, as well. The current TDP regime is the most corrupt one since Independence, Dharmana commented. Chandrababu Naidu spent Rs.400 crores on publicity related to Polavaram project and Amaravati capital city construction, Dharmana asserted.

The former minister appealed to party workers to toil for the success of YSR Congress party which was established by Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to bring back the rule of his father, the late Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy, a deep-seated wish of millions of people. Every single party worker should work like a soldier in this upcoming electoral battle Dharmana said.
