TDP MPs obstruct Shinde New Delhi: TDP MPs obstructed Home Minister Shinde who headed the GoM meet on Saturday. A visibly upset Shinde asked, 'You have met me, explained to me and gave me your views. I have taken note of it. Why are you doing this again?'
Seemandhra MPs belonging to the TDP, N Kristappa, K Narayana M Venugopal Reddy and N Siva Prasad staged a demonstration in front of the Union Home Ministry office in North Block. The TDP MPs held placards demanding that the GoM should visit Andhra Pradesh and raised slogans demanding, 'We want justice.'
Later, TDP MP N Siva Prasad said, 'Chidambaram, who does not know Chittoor; Ghulam Nabi Azad, who does not know Guntur; Antony, who does not know Anantapur; Jairam Ramesh, who does not know Rampachodavaram; Moily, who does not know Moghultur; Narayanasamy, who does not know Narsaraopet; and Shinde, who does not know Seemandhra ' these are the people, who will decide the fate of the people of Andhra Pradesh, sitting in their AC chambers.
What is the justice that they will do to the people? They should come out, visit Andhra Pradesh, be in the midst of the people and then address their issues and concerns.'
Ahead of the meeting of the GoM, preparatory meetings were held in the Home Ministry. To discuss the political aspects, a meeting was also held in Congress War Room. Officials from the Urban Development, Power, Irrigation and law and order agencies were readily available in the capital to assist the GoM on any of the issues of concern.
