Panabaka sees Singapore in Seemandhra Guntur: Union minister Panabaka Laxmi said that after the division of the State the Seemandhra region could be developed like Singapore. This was the first endorsement of sorts from a Seemandhra Congress leader after the process to divide the state has begun.
Speaking to the media at Guntur, the Union minister said that it was too late to stop the Telangana creation process and advised the people of Seemandhra to be prepared mentally for the division. Panabaka Laxmi said that unless state was divided, Andhra Pradesh would not achieve rapid progress.
She said that though she was an integrationist, could not oppose the party high command on the Telangana division decision. Laxmi made it clear that she would not sit silent if some injustice happens to the farmers and the students.
