Comrades in arms over poll pacts Hyderabad: The war of words between the State units of CPI and CPM is continuing unabated with the respective secretaries challenging each other and making it clear that both the parties would be in opposite camps during the next general elections.
While the CPI has taken a pro-Telangana stand, the CPI(M) is batting for Samaikyandhra leaving no chance for amity between them. The allegations of the CPI on the CPI(M) that it was in league with YSR Congress Party have also strained their relations.
However, CPM state secretary BV Raghavulu condemned the allegations of CPI leaders and stated that still they did not make up their mind on having alliance with any party in the next elections.
He also said that his party might ally with the CPI if it comes forward. But the contradictory stands taken by them on the Telangana issue might not allow them to have an alliance in the next elections and they might choose different camps in the next elections.
Raghavulu dared Narayana to prove that CPM was in secret talks with YSR Congress for a poll tie up. Narayana did not budge from his charge and criticised CPM for its big brother attitude.
