Will Pawan jump on TDP bandwagon?
Hyderabad: What the estranged siblings of the Union Minister of State for Tourism Chiranjeevi are up to? It is certain that Pawan Kalyan, who shot up into fame as `Aaradugula Bullettu' after his recent blockbuster flick, Attarintike Daaredi, is fast drifting away from the family fold, people in the know of things say. He is said to be making his own roads into politics.
However, his destination is the issue of intense debate as the Telugu Desam Party leadership is out to receive him with open arms. But Pawan Kalyan may not jump into politics so immediately, reliable sources say.
His prime objective at this moment is to help out his elder brother, Nagababu who proved to be not as lucky as other producers who had made films with Ramcharan.
Pawan Kalyan is firm on propping up Nagababu into politics. By all means Nagababu would be joining politics soon and the TDP is his priority, it is rumoured.
He is said to be planning to contest from Machilipatnam or Narsapur Parliamentary constituency in the event of getting the green signal from the Telugu Desam Party.
But the TDP may take Nagababu into its organizational fold only in the event of coming in pair with his younger brother, perceived to be a vote catcher.
The question haunting the minds is will Pawan join the TDP for the sake of Nagababu. The TDP leaders are already going gaga on the issue. Some of the party politburo members had given enough indications that Pawan Kalyan was looking towards the TDP.
On the other hand, efforts were on in the family side for a peace accord between the brothers. Though the reports about Pawan Kalyan's political intensions are not to be scoffed at, he may not be ready for 2014 elections.
'He will come into politics in his own way, that too in 2019. I am not sure of his present political affiliations. Certainly they have issues to be ironed out in the family' said a well wisher of the family and a key leader of the erstwhile PRP.
Senior TDP leader Yanamala Ramakrishnudu said that the two film personalities are welcome to join the party if they want. He however denied reports that Pawan met party senior leaders including Balakrishna.
'We have no information about Pawan or Nagababu meeting Balakrishna or any other TDP leader for that matter. But if they want to join the party, they are welcome to do so,' the TDP leader said.
Another TDP leader Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy said he heard that Pawan was open-minded and a good person. Services of 'such honest persons' are required in the present situation in the society, he added for good measure.
