TRS Govt will soon overcome energy crisis: KTR Hyderabad, Sept 9 (INN): Information Technology Minister K Tarakarama Rao on Tuesday expressed confidence that the Telangana Government would soon overcome the energy crisis.
Speaking to media persons here, KTR said that the power which is being purchased from Chattisgarh would reach the State in the next two months. Further, the government has started taking initiatives to generate more thermal power in the State.
He said the proposed 4,000 MW power plant at Ramagundem would be ultra-modern and it would be set up at a cost of nearly Rs 8-10,000 crore. In the second phase, the government would set up 1,000 MW solar power plant. KTR said efforts were on to purchase more power from Chattisgarh and Jharkhand.
