Telangana is on growth path, claims TRS Govt Hyderabad, Sept 9 (INN): Information Technology Minister K Tarakarama Rao on Tuesday claimed that the TRS Government has taken the new State of Telangana on the path of growth of in the last 100 days of its regime.
Speaking to media persons at Paryatak Bhavan here, KTR said that the State Government has taken more than 100 decisions on important issues. In the first cabinet meeting itself, 43 crucial decisions were taken on subjects like waiver of farm loans.
He said these decisions would serve as strong foundation to build a developed and vibrant Telangana State. People have lot of trust on the TRS Government and the success of Intensive Household Survey is a proof for the same, he said.
KTR also claimed that TRS Government has been maintaining cordial relationship with both the Centre and neighbouring Andhra Pradesh State.
He said during his recent visit to New Delhi, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to grant special status for Telangana on par with Andhra Pradesh. He said that the TRS Government would soon launch initiatives like e-Panchayat and e-education.
Earlier, KTR signed separate MoUs with the Indian School of Business, Nalsar University of Law and IIIT. ITC Department Principal Secretary Harpreet Singh, IIIT Dean Prof PJ Narayana, BVR Mohan Reddy of Nascom and Nalsar University VC Faizan Mustafa were also present.
Speaking on the occasion, KTR informed that tenders have been called for Hyderabad Wifi City project. He said the proposed system would be completely secure and all steps would be taken to prevent its misuse.
He said that Telangana produces nearly 60,000 engineers every year. But only one-third of them get regular employment. Therefore, the government has decided to start Telangana Academy of Skill Development and Knowledge to train those engineers in different additional skills including entrepreneurship.
The minister said that Maheshwaram would be promoted as T-Hub and companies from Japan, Korea and Taiwan would be invited to the State to the proposed Electronic Design and Manufacturing Hub. He said IT hubs would be established in Boduppal, Pocharam and Adibatla. He said hardware promotion would be done through manufacturing clusters across the State.
KTR said that the Telangana Government would get a unique identity for Hyderabad through 4G and Wifi services. He said that the government would take full advantage of presence of world-class institutions in the city and would forge collaborations for different initiatives.
