Congress, BJP hoping for unexpected gain in Medak HYDERABAD: Even as the ruling TRS is confident of winning the Medak Lok Sabha bypoll, its main rivals Congress and the BJP-TDP alliance are expecting for a 'unexpected gain' for their respective candidates.
The TRS leadership wants its candidate K Prabhakar Reddy to win the byelection with a huge majority. To achieve this, the party camp managers were primarily focusing on those segments like Siddipet, Dubbak, Gajwel and Medak that are considered bastions for the pink party.
Meanwhile, Congress leadership is pinning its hopes on those segments which were once strongholds for the party whereas the BJP-TDP alliance is mainly banking on 'Modi Mantra.'
The TPCC on Friday staged dharnas across the state, alleging that the state government had turned a blind eye to the plight of the farmers.
Congress complains to CEO

They also complained that there was a lack of proper police patrolling to monitor such activities in these constituencies. They also requested the EC to instruct the police to keep strict vigil.
