CM launches the website of Bio Asia 2015
Hyderabad, Sept 15 (INN): Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao launched the website of Bio Asia 2015 here on Monday. Bio Asia is the internationally acclaimed biotechnology and life sciences conference and business forum organized jointly by the Industries and Commerce Department of Government of Telangana and the Federation of Asian Biotech Associations (FABA).
Bio Asia 2015 will be held between 2nd and 4th February, 2015 in HICC Hyderabad. The theme for Bio Asia 2015 is 'New Era of Life Sciences-Opportunities in Transition'.
Bio Asia has grown from strength to strength and has emerged as the premier biotechnology and life sciences event in Asia. Last year Bio Asia attracted 1200 delegates from 51 countries and 900 business partnership meetings were facilitated.
For Bio Asia 2015, about 2000 delegates from 60 countries are expected. Bio Asia has been able to obtain about Rs. 1300 crores for investment into Telangana State through its B2B sessions. Companies like Lonza, Alexandria and Sanofi came to Genome Valley after their participation in Bio Asia.
Pradeep Chandra Principal Secretary, Industries and Commerce were also present at the time of launching.
