By-polls result should silence critics: KCR
Hyderabad, Sept 16 (INN): Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has expressed gratitude to the people of Medak for voting in favour of his party in the by-elections.
Speaking to media persons after the declaration of by-polls results on Tuesday, KCR said that by ensuring the victory of party's candidate Kotha Prabhakar Reddy with a thumping majority, people of Medak have exhibited their support and trust over the TRS Government.
He said that the results should silence the critics who were targeting the government on different issues. By rejecting the Congress and BJP, people have completely backed the TRS Government and its developmental programmes.
He claimed that both the Congress and BJP have barely managed to save their security deposits and the defeat of BJP's candidate has proved that TDP has no place in Telangana.
The Chief Minister said that the people have supported the State Government's initiatives like weeding out of bogus ration cards, demolition of illegal constructions and other measures.
Claiming that there were many fake farmers in the State, he said such farmers would be identified and excluded from the crop loan waiver. He said that several welfare measures would be launched between Dasara and Deepavali.
