KCR lacks clarity on policies, alleges Ponnala Hyderabad, Sept 23 (INN): Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president Ponnala Lakshmaiah on Tuesday accused Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao of lacking clarity in all the major policies of the State Government.
Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan here, Ponnala said that the High Court's remarks against the State Government on the Financial Assistance to the Students of Telangana (FAST) schemes were a tight slap on the face of the Chief Minister.
Accusing KCR of running without any direction, he said that some policy decisions taken by the TRS Government were proving to be thorn in the flesh. He said that the Chief Minister should learn lessons from the observations of High Court and take corrective steps on immediate basis.
Ponnala advised KCR to consult capable people for right advises on major issues. He also accused the Chief Minister of diluting the promises. He condemned KCR for adding rider to the farmers' loan waiver schemes.
He said that the government has also maintained silence over Kantanapally project. Reminding that KCR has promised to revive the Nizams Sugar Factor, he said that the Chief Minister did not even conduct a review meeting on the subject.
The Telangana Congress chief also announced his support for Adarsha Rythu dharna to be held at Indira Park on September 25.
When asked about the controversy over Raidurg land allotment for Metro Rail Project, Ponnala said all the allegations being leveled against were false and he was ready to face any probe. However, he maintained that a Gaming City should come up on the land, which is presently under dispute.
With regard to the constitution of Congress Coordination Committee, he said that the committee was appointed by the party High Command and therefore, anyone having objections should approach the senior leadership in Delhi.
