Will make Hyderabad international city: KCR HYDERABAD: All-India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi called on Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao at Secretariat on Tuesday and explained issues pertaining to Hyderabad Lok Sabha segment and development plan for Hyderabad.
Owaisi brought to the notice of Chief Minister about various problems being faced by people in his segment. The Chief Minister assured Owaisi that the government will make Hyderabad an international city and solve all the issues in the Lok Sabha segment.
Sources said that Owaisi also urged the Chief Minister for change of Metro corridor-II alignment in Old City and to route it along the banks of Musi river. The corridor-II traverses through different parts of Old City mainly between Darulshifa and Falaknuma which is not to the liking of MIM and they wanted realignment.
The proposed route passes through a congested road that has several religious structures but MIM wanted the corridor-II be changed by taking a diversion at Darulshifa and passing along the banks of river Musi up to Puranapul, Bahadarpura to Falaknuma.
