T-TDP seeks Governor's intervention for Assembly session Hyderabad, Sept 25 (INN): A delegation of Telangana TDP MLAs called on Governor ESL Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan here on Thursday seeking his intervention to convene the Assembly session.
Speaking to media persons after submitting the memorandum to the Governor, Telangana TDP President L Ramana said that the State Government was not planning to convene the Assembly session till December and it was even contemplating to pass the annual budget through an ordinance. He said that the conditions in the State have become worse due to erratic governance and administration of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
Ramana said that the Governor has been requested to exercise his executive powers to convene the Assembly session at the earliest to discuss issues like deteriorating law and order, farmers' suicide, fee reimbursement, controversy over Metro Rail and allotment of lands to My Home Constructions owned by Rameshwar Rao.
He said that the government was afraid to convene the Assembly session fearing that all its failures would be exposed. The Chief Minister has confined himself to mere announcements and no practical steps were being taken for the development of Telangana although the State has surplus budget.
TDP floor leader in Telangana Assembly Errabelli Dayakar Rao, MLAs including Revanth Reddy, Teegala Krishna Reddy, Prakash Goud and others were part of the delegation.
