Watch out for KCR mark rule Hyderabad: All eyes are on Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao, who declared that the 'KCR mark rule' would begin from Dasara. People are eager to see what kind of uniqueness he would bring to the administration and what would be his brand of governance.
Political observers are keenly watching the transformation of KCR from being a leader of an emotional Statehood agitation to being at the helm of a State that needs to be built on the foundations of hopes and aspirations of the people of Telangana.
'It is time KCR begins to show his performance. Whether he would come up with new schemes or streamlining the old ones and how he would silence his detractors is an interesting thing to watch,' a political analyst said.
After massive victory in the by-poll to the Medak Lok Sabha constituency on September 16, the Chief Minister said that 'KCR-mark and TRS-mark' governance was yet to commence in the State.
'We are just 100 days old. This is not cinema or Sensex to judge in such a short time. KCR-mark governance will commence soon,' he had said and made it clear that one cannot judge the performance of any government in just 100 days. He was highly critical of the opposition for launching a broadside against his government.
The Chief Minister admitted that his government was facing teething troubles and yet to settle down. These comments raised expectations in various sections, including among the TRS cadre, about the possible new announcements.
The Chief Minister said that people would get to see more than what he had promised earlier. He said that all welfare schemes like pensions, ration cards and others would be grounded during the period between Dasara and Diwali. He also promised that the housing scheme would also be commenced during that period.
KCR initiated several steps like Intensive Household Survey, Mana Vooru Mana Pranalika and Task Forces on various subjects to give recommendations on budgetary priorities.
The Chief Minister is likely to launch a programme for renovation of tanks across the State in the second week of this month. The budget session of Telangana Assembly, scheduled to begin in the third week of this month, is expected to be a stormy one if the mood of the opposition is any indication.
The main opposition Congress and other parties are preparing to question the Chief Minister on several issues like crop loan waiver, power shortage, fee reimbursement to students, ration cards, pensions and several other issues.
