KCR blames past for present crisis Hyderabad, Oct 5 (INN): Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Sunday blamed the previous governments for the existing problems of Telangana State.
Addressing the joint meeting of party's elected representatives and politburo at Telangana Bhavan here, KCR said that the governments of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh State were responsible for the crisis being faced by the new State now as they neglected the Telangana region during their regime.
He condemned the opposition parties for their criticism on the TRS Government and accused the leaders of speaking without having basic knowledge. He listed out the difficulties, including shortage of All India Service officials, under which his government was functioning in the State.
Criticising the Congress party, KCR alleged that the opposition party was suffering from mental depression after it faced a humiliating defeat in the last general elections.
Speaking about energy crisis, the Chief Minister said that presently the government was not in a position to do anything to reduce the demand supply gap. He said that Telangana was not having power of its own and is depended on other States.
He also accused his Andhra Pradesh counterpart Chandrababu Naidu of hatching a conspiracy to push the TRS Government into crisis. However, he assured that the government would be able to supply power for 24-hours after three years.
The Chief Minister reiterated that his government would fulfill all the promises that it made with the people. He also stressed the need to ensure women's safety, especially in Hyderabad.
He said women's safety was important for brand image of Hyderabad. He advocated stringent punishment and action against those indulging in crime against women.
KCR also assured that the services of honest and sincere party workers would be given due recognition. He also promised to accommodate dedicated workers on nominated posts. He announced that round-the-year training classes would be started for all the TRS workers.
