ODI ticket sales in Vizag from Oct 10 VISAKHAPATNAM: The sale of tickets for the third one-day international (ODI) between India and West Indies, to be held at Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in the city on October 14, will commence on October 10.
According to the Organising Committee officials, about 12,000 tickets of lower denomination (Rs 250, Rs 400, Rs 1,000, Rs 2,000 and Rs 5,000) will be sold through 30 Mee Seva centres. While 1,000 tickets of the higher denominations will be sold online, another 3,000 tickets will be sold at the stadium itself.
As against the stadium's capacity of 27,500 seats, the Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) has decided to issue about 8,000 complimentary passes. Officials are taking necessary measures to prevent the distribution and usage of fake or duplicate tickets.
Security personnel are being provided with the latest devices to identify duplicate tickets at all the entry gates. Stringent action will be initiated against blocking of tickets at Mee Seva Centres, officials warned.
