Amanchi, Pothula followers clash in Chirala
ONGOLE: Differences between Chirala MLA Amanchi Krishna Mohan and TDP leaders Pothula Suneetha have led to a scuffle at the 'Janmabhoomi-Maa Vooru' programme in Chirala Sunday.
It all started when the officials invited Pothula Suneetha to the dais at the programme being conducted at Vijayanagar Colony. MLA Amanchi Krishna Mohan objected to Pothula Suneetha attending the programme as she does not have any official position.
Pothula Suneetha, who is the TDP incharge of Chirala, entered into an argument with Krishna Mohan. As the arguments hotted up, followers of both the leaders clashed, resulting in minor injuries to some persons.
The rivalry between Pothula Suneetha and Amanchi Krishna Mohan can be traced back to the time when latter had won as an Independent from Chirala Assembly constituency. Then on, both the leaders have been making attempts to establsih supremacy in the constituency.
