TTDP leaders turn covets, compromising state interests HYDERABAD: Alleging that Kodangal TDP MLA Revanth Reddy has turned into a covert for Andhra Pradesh government, TRS MLC Karne Prabhakar said the Telangana TDP leaders were compromising state's interest to please their party chief.
Speaking to reporters at the Telangana Bhavan here, Prabhakar questioned Revanth Reddy as to why he was not taking up the issue of power crisis in Telangana with his party chief.
'TDP government in Andhra Pradesh was not allowing Telangana to take its share of power from the power plants situated in that state and the T-TDP leaders instead of taking up the issue with their party boss were blaming the TS government for the crisis,'' he alleged.
Stating that Telangana state should get 54 per cent power as per the AP Reorganisation Act, Karne asked Revanth Reddy whether they have no responsibility to question Chandrababu Naidu over power scarcity in Telangana state.
Reminding that Naidu, when in power, had described agriculture as wasteful profession, the TRS leader pointed out that Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhara Rao has declared that he would make agriculture as most sought after profession.
Prabhakar warned the Telangana TDP leaders of dire consequences if they let loose their tongues at TRS leaders and added that if they do not change their attitude people of Telangana would bury their party in the state. 'Whether T-TDP leaders want to remain as slaves of TDP supremo or work for the development of Telangana they should decide,'' he remarked.
Meanwhile, Revanth Reddy slammed KCR for not fulfilling any of his poll promises.
'KCR announced 24-hour power supply for domestic and commercial and 8 hours for agriculture during his election campaign. But after coming to power he was not able to provide 8 hours of continues power supply,' he alleged. He accused KCR of sacking a transco official for refusing to allot the contract of setting up electricity lines between Chhattisgarh and Telangana to the person he recommended.
Revanth Reddy accused KCR of not fulfilling poll promises such as one job per family, 12 per cent reservations to Girijans and Muslims and two-bedroom houses. 'KCR instead of completing irrigation projects in the state was looking for commissions from new irrigation projects,' he alleged.
