5 TDP MLAs waiting to hike the 'Car' HYDERABAD: A day after TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu directed party leaders in Telangana to undertake a bus yatra to revive the party in the State, about five party MLAs from Ranga Reddy met at a hotel here Wednesday, fuelling speculation of their defection to the TRS.
The names of Teegala Krishna Reddy (Maheswaram), Arekapudi Gandhi (Serilingampally), Manchireddy Kishan Reddy (Ibrahimpatnam), Madhavaram Krishna Rao (Kukatpally) and T Prakash Goud (Rajendranagar) have been doing the rounds for some time as likely defectors.
If senior leader Talasani Srinivas Yadav, as reports suggest, also joins the TRS along with the five MLAs, the TDP will almost be finished in the GHMC area.
However, Teegala clarified they had met only to discuss the proposed bus yatra from October 10. 'We have no intention of joining the TRS. We will continue to be in TDP and work to strengthen it,' he asserted. If the TRS succeeds in poaching these MLAs, it will help it win GHMC polls.
