TRS plenary postponed to October 18 Hyderabad, Octpber 9: The Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) has postponed by a week its prestigious plenary scheduled here on October 11 and 12 in view of the threat of rains in Hyderabad and Telangana districts due to 'Hudhud' cyclone.
The Chief Minister and TRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao stated in a release that the plenary will now take place on October 18 and 19 with the delegates' conference at Lal Bahadur stadium on the first day and public meeting at Parade grounds the next day. The postponement was effected not to inconvenience the party leaders, cadre and general public.
Meanwhile, arrangements for the conference at Lal Bahadur stadium continued at a brisk pace hours before the postponement was announced. A huge pandal with tinned sheets was erected on the sprawling ground.
Work on construction of food courts in the nearby Nizam college ground commenced today. Mr. Rao has instructed leaders to shift the delegates to the food courts as soon as they arrived in the city for the conference.
