KCR made unrealistic promises: Ponnala Hyderabad, Oct 10 (INN): Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president Ponnala Lakshmaiah on Friday accused Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao of cheating farmers by making unrealistic promises.
Speaking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan here, Ponnala alleged that the TRS Government has completely failed to prevent the farmers' suicide which was caused primarily due to the failure to implement the promises.
Referring to the observations made during the launch of Rythu Bharosa Yatra launched yesterday, he said farmers were in distress and were expecting some immediate relief from the government.
However, he said that the TRS Government was not showing any interest in the welfare of farmers with the Chief Minister keeping himself with the day-to-day politics.
Stating that the Congress party would hold Bharosa Yatra in all the districts, he said that a massive agitation would be launched soon in protest against the anti-farmers' policies of government.
