Naidu to stay in Vizag for 3 more days VISAKHAPATNAM: As a part of his efforts to instil confidence among the people of Hudhud-ravaged Northa Andhra, Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has decided to stay put in Visakhapatnam for three more days to personally supervise the relief operations being undertaken there.
Naidu, who expressed satisfaction over the way his government minimised the damage to life during the cyclone by taking precautions, said his top priority was to restore electricity supply, besides providing drinking water, food and essential commodities to the victims.
'In order to restore electricity, we are taking the help of neighbouring Odisha, Karnataka and Chhattisgarh states. A majority of the employees of APEPDCL have been deputed to North Andhra,' said Naidu.
After undertaking an aerial survey of the affected areas, Naidu directed officials to supply drinking water, milk and other relief material to every person without fail.
