T-Cong asks KCR to take all-party delegation to Delhi Hyderabad, Oct 26 (INN): Deputy CLP leader in Legislative Assembly T Jeevan Reddy demanded that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao take an all-party delegation to New Delhi to pressurise the Centre to intervene in ensuring 54% power share of power generated at Krishnapatnam project to Telangana State.
Addresing a press conference at the Congress Legislature Party office here on Sunday, Jeevan Reddy informed that he has written an open letter to the Chief Minister demanding that he take the entire opposition into confidence and make joint efforts to protect the interest of farmers of Telangana.
He said that KCR should lead an-all party delegation to New Delhi to pressurise Prime Minister Narender Modi in making AP Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu fall in line on contentious issues. He said KCR should not allow his ego to dominate the interests of Telangana farmers. He said joint efforts were required to overcome the ongoing crisis as nearly 3-4 farmers are committing suicide every day.
Jeevan Reddy also demanded payment of Rs 5 lakh ex-gratia to the families of farmers who committed suicide; Rs 10,000 per acre of input subsidy and Rs 100 per quintal of compensation for the lost crops. He said farmers should be provided adequate power supply as they were not getting supply even for three hours.
