HC directs junior doctors to call off strike Hyderabad, Oct 27 (INN): Taking a serious note of the ongoing strike by junior doctors, the High Court on Monday directed the Junior Doctors Association (JUDA) to call off the strike and report to work immediately.
The High Court warned the junior doctors of stern action if they continue the strike. It advised them to approach it if the government fails to meet their demands. The court observed that the junior doctors were related to a noble profession and therefore, they should restrain from undertaking strikes.
Earlier in the day, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had directed the officials to debar the junior doctors for a period of six months if they fail to join duties latest by Tuesday. He directed the officials to serve notices asking the striking junior doctors to call off their stir immediately.
