Naidu reviews damages due to heavy rains Hyderabad, Oct 27 (INN): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Monday reviewed the losses caused due to heavy rains that lashed the south-coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema districts in the last two days.
The Chief Minister held a review meeting with officials of Revenue and Disaster Management Departments. He enquired about the losses to crop in Guntur, Prakasam, Krishna and Nellore districts.
He also announced Rs 2 lakh each ex-gratia to the families of two women who died due to heavy rains. He also directed the officials to extend financial assistance to the family of 13-year-old boy who got killed due to wall collapse of a school.
In view of predictions of heavy rainfall for the next two days, he directed the State administration to stay on alert.
