DS holds Assembly prep meeting with MLCs
Hyderabad, Oct 28 (INN): CLP leader in Telangana Legislative Council D Srinivas on Tuesday held a meeting with Congress MLCs to discuss preparation for forthcoming budget session.
Speaking to media persons later, Srinivas said that the Congress would raise the issues of farmers' suicides, energy crisis, pensions, crop loan waiver and other matters of public importance. He said that all sections of the society were disappointed with the performance of TRS Government in the four months. Therefore, as the main opposition, the Congress party would highlight the issues concerning common man.
Srinivas also appealed for unity among all opposition parties on the floor of the House to raise the issues of public importance. He informed that joint meeting of Congress MLAs and MLCs would be held soon to finalise the strategy for the forthcoming budget session.
He also informed that the CLP would submit a memorandum to Assembly Secretary on Wednesday seeking disqualification of rebel Congress MLCs.
Congress MLCs including Mohammed Ali Shabbir, Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy, MS Prabhakar, Farooq Hussain and Ranga Reddy were also present.
