Konathala quits YSRC party post VISAKHAPATNAM : YSR Congress leader Konathala Ramakrishna is understood to have quit the party's political affairs committee, setting off speculation that he would leave the party as well.
According to sources, Ramakrishna has sent a mail to YSRC chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy in this regard.
Of late, Ramakrishna has not been managing the party affairs as the YSRC leadership has sidelined him. As if adding to the injury, his close aide Gandi Babji, a former MLA, has recently been removed as incharge of the party Pendurthy unit.
Following this, Ramakrishna has written to Jaganmohan Reddy as to how he has been humiliated in the party over a period of time.
Ramakrishna suffered the first setback when the party admitted Dadi Veerabhadra Rao from the TDP, an arch rival in his Anakapalle constituency, into the party fold. Veerabhadra Rao joined the YSRC ahead of the general elections when it was thought that Jagan was going to sweep the polls.
This made Ramakrishna feel insulted since Jagan welcomed Rao into the party despite his resistance. Since then, he has been keeping himself away from the party affairs. Ironically, Veerabhadra Rao left the YSRC immediately after the elections blaming Jagan for the party's debacle.
