Ponnam asks TRS MPs to stall Parliament Hyderabad, Nov 2 (INN): Former MP Ponnam Prabhakar on Sunday demanded that the TRS MPs stall the proceedings of winter session of Parliament, beginning from November 24, over the issues concerning Telangana.
Speaking to media persons at the Congress Legislature Party office here, Ponnam said that the TRS MPs should stall Parliament's proceedings to substantiate their allegation that Centre did not extend any cooperation in resolve energy crisis and other issues. He also accused Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao of having failed to stop the merger of seven mandals of Khamman into Andhra Pradesh or bring changes in Polavaram project design. He said KCR had made claims of Telangana having surplus funds. However, KCR had failed to take any step worth mentioning since he took over as the Chief Minister.
Ponnam said KCR has expressed ignorance about farmers' suicide, energy crisis and even deaths due to dengue. He said KCR tried to divert people's attention by organising Bonalu and Bathukamma festivals at officials. He said celebration of festivals would not solve the problems being faced by the people across the State.
