Rebel TDP MLCs seek merger with TRS
Hyderabad, Nov 3 (INN): Five rebel TDP MLCs has urged Telangana Legislative Council chairman Swamy Goud to merge the Telangana TDP Legislature Party into the TRS.
The MLCs - B Venkateshwarulu, Balaneni Lakshminarayana, P Mahender Reddy, Gangadhar Goud and Mohammed Saleem on Monday wrote a letter to the Council Chairman stating that a majority of MLCs are in favour of T-TDLP's merger with the TRS and therefore, it should be merged as per the Schedule 10 Para (4) of the Constitution.
According to sources, the MLCs have given this letter in response to the disqualification petition submitted by the TDP against the rebel MLCs. The Chairman has assured to take a decision as per the rules.
