TDP seeks disqualification of five rebel MLCs
Hyderabad, Nov 4 (INN): The Telangana TDP on Tuesday requested Legislative Council Chairman Swamy Goud to disqualify five TDP MLCs who defected to Telangana Rashtra Samithi.
Speaking to media persons at NTR Trust Bhavan here, TDP leader Arikela Narsa Reddy said that B Venkateshwarulu, Balaneni Lakshminarayana, P Mahender Reddy, Gangadhar Goud and Mohammed Saleem should be disqualified under the Anti-Defection Law.
He ridiculed the MLCs for urging the Council Chairman to merge the T-TDLP with the TRSLP. He accused the TRS leadership of encouraging defections to weaken the opposition parties.
