Truce between Gorantala, Akula after 'sand' storm RAJAHMUNDRY: Days after bitter altercation between Rajahmundry Urban MLA Akula Satyanarayana and Rural MLA Gorantla Butchaiah Choudary over the boundaries of sand ramps, the former has said that there is no bad blood between the two and blamed the officials for the 'information gap'.
Speaking to reporters at Kumari Theatre sand reach here, Akula Satyanarayana said that the lack of proper information from the officials has led to some misunderstanding which has been cleared now. The MLA, who represents the BJP, said that his party and its alliance partner, the TDP, are working hand in hand for the welfare of the people.
Lavishing praise on the state government for allotting five sand reaches to DWCRA groups, he said it is a welcome step in the direction of women's empowerment.
Satyanarayana said that steps will be taken to reduce the sand rate which will help check the activities of the sand mafia. He also informed that the Ullithota DWCRA group is also included in Kumari Theatre sand reach.
