Tech firm cheats staff, booked for fraud HYDERABAD: Panjagutta police registered a case of cheating and misappropriation of funds against a city based tech firm based on a complaint lodged by one of the 132 trainee employees who claimed having duped.
According to Panjagutta police, one of the complainant Satheesh stated that Aapti Techno Soft Private Limited, which used to operate from Madhapur had recently shifted their office to Somajiguda and shut down operations without any notice last week.
Inspector S Mohan Kumar explained that the complainant has mentioned non payment of salary of Rs 6500 for the last three months and even failed to provide placement for the trainees.
'These people were being given training in dot net software framework and each of the 132 members are said to have paid between Rs 40,000 and Rs 1 lakh. We estimate a fraud of upto Rs 87 lakh,' said Kumar.
A case on charges of cheating and misappropriation of funds is registered and investigation is in progress, the inspector said. No arrests have been made in the case so far.
