Industrial policy to be tabled in Assembly HYDERABAD:To attract investments from across the globe, the state government is chalking out plans for hassle-free industrial policy which will be tabled in the ongoing Assembly session.
Chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao held a brainstorming session with senior officials including secretary (industries) Pradeep Chandra and TSIIC MD Jayesh Ranjan over the preparation of the draft Bill of the new industrial policy.
The chief minister opined that in view of creating congenial atmosphere in the state for investments, the government has been advocating single window clearance mechanism. The officials appraised him of various industrial policies being implemented by other states in the country.
Unlike other states, TS is not prone to worst cyclones, earthquakes or any other natural calamities which would be natural advantage in attracting the investments, he observed. This, in addition to a good industrial policy, would work wonders for the new state, he hoped.
The chief minister also shared his experience of his visit to Singapore - touted as practicing best industrial policy in the world.
