Governor participates in 'Swatch Bharat' programme Hyderabad, Nov 7 (INN): Governor ESL Narasimhan, his Special Chief Secretary Dr. N. Ramesh Kumar, Joint Secretary P. Basanth Kumar and other senior officers, all staff members have participated in Swatch Bharat programme conducted in the premises of Raj Bhavan here on Friday.
This is fourth round of Swatch Bharat programme being conducted in Rajbhavan. On every Saturday evening between 3.30 PM to 5.30 PM all the employees are participating in cleaning up the premises of about 30 acres of Rajbhavan. An action plan has been drawn up to January 2015 to take up cleaning the surroundings of all important buildings in Rajbhavan.
As a part of Swatch Bharat programme, the unused wastelands in the Rajbhavan are being converted into green pastures. An herbal garden and a greenhouse plantation was developed as part of the programme and at many areas greenery being developed. The GHMC has been collecting over two Lorries of garbage on every occasion.
The Rajbhavan is also contemplating to organise similar programme at one of the public place like in the premises of a government hospital which would help inculcate the public to keep their surroundings clean and tidy.
