Revanth Reddy backs AP on power, faces backlash Hyderabad: TDP leader Revanth Reddy has attributed the present power crisis in Telangana to the 'inefficiency' of the TRS government. The maverick leader alleged that the State government was inept and could not even appoint officers to the power department.
Intervening in the discussion, CM KCR said that he had written many letters to the centre apart from the Chief Secretary meeting the union government officials urging them to expedite the process of allocation of All India Service employees. He blamed Revanth Reddy's ignorance for the remarks.
He also lauded the officers of Telangana as they have to put up with additional work load. He said the Secretaries of the government are looking after more than four to five departments each. The Chief Secretary himself is dealing with 15 departments, KCR said. Despite this, the officers are doing a commendable job, he said.
The TDP Kodangal MLA continued with his speech and defended AP government. He quoted from the Southern Load Dispatch Centre, Bangalore statistics and argued that the Telangana was getting more than its share of 53.89% of Power.
To this CM erupted in anger and stated that it was a 'black day' in the history of Telangana Assmebly. He lambasted Revanth for 'siding with AP government at a critical time on a crucial issue.'
Irrigation and Legislative Affairs Minister also condemned Revanth's tatistics. He asked Telangana TDP leaders to work for the betterment of the State and 'stop being the agents of the AP government.'
