No plans to enhance funds for QQSUDA: CM Hyderabad, Nov 12 (INN): Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Wednesday informed the State Legislative Assembly that the State Government have no proposals to increase the annual budgetary allocations to Quli Qutub Shah Urban Development Authority.
In his reply to a question raised by MIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi and others during Question Hour, the Chief Minister informed that in 2014-15, Rs 5.41 crore have been allocated and released for the QQSUDA. Of this Rs 3.24 crore have been spent so far. In 2013-14, as against the allocation of Rs 14.25 crore, Rs 10.11 were spent by the QQSUDA.
The QQSUDA was constituted in 1981 for the overall development of Old City of Hyderabad. Its jurisdiction includes areas of north and south of River Musi of Old City covered by Nampally, Charminar, Chandrayangutta, Karwan, Goshamahal, Yakutpura, Malakpet and part of Rajendranagar, Maheshwaram, LB Nagar, Jubilee Hills of the present Assembly constituencies.
The Chief Minister further informed that since its inception, only five meetings were conducted under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister.
