KCR is like father figure for me, says Harish Rao HYDERABAD : Minister for Irrigation and Legislative Affairs T Harish Rao lashed out at Telugu Desam Party legislator A Revanth Reddy for his alleged remarks that he (Harish Rao) should 'replace' K Chandrasekhar Rao as the Chief Minister of Telangana.
In an informal chat with media persons in his chambers in the Assembly after the House was adjourned to November 13, Harish Rao said KCR was not only his maternal uncle but was also like his father, who had held his finger and guided him to the present level.
'After all, politics, MLA and ministry are all just nothing but with the mercy of KCR,' he said. He strongly condemned Revanth Reddy's remarks that he should replace KCR and become 'Chief Minister' to offer better governance.
Raising strong objection to the TDP legislator's provocative comments, Harish Rao reprimanded the former for often trying to target him and malign the TRS leadership. Stating that KCR's life is built on the basements of sacrifices, Harish Rao alleged that TDP president and AP Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu had not backstabbed and dethroned party's founder-president and own father-in-law N T Rama Rao that resulted in the latter's death.
'Chandrababu Naidu has risen to power through back-stabbing and resorting to utter lies, for which he had acquired the name of 'Goebbels Babu.' On the other hand, KCR has grown with sacrifices and gone on a hunger strike for 11 days not fearing about his life,' he said.
The minister also alleged that Chandrababu Naidu was notorious for dirty politics and had kept Junior NTR away from politics as he felt the actor would be a threat to his son Lokesh Naidu.
'Since KCR and the TRS Government are getting good name and fame, the Opposition parties are indulging in baseless allegations due to jealousy,' he alleged and warned Revanth Reddy of dire consequences if the latter did not stop targeting him.
