Suspended TDP legislators meet Governor HYDERABAD: A day after the suspension of 10 TDP MLAs from the House for one week, a delegation of Telangana TDP leaders met governor ESL Narasimhan and represented him about the manner in which the party members were suspended from the House by the ruling party.
The TDP members were suspended from the House on Thursday for disrutping the proceedings pressing for moving a previlege motion against minister KT Rama Rao.
Taking serious exception to the suspension of their members, the TTDP gave a call to hold protests across the state and TDP activists and leaders participated in protests held in all the 10 districts.
Meanwhile, a delegation of TTDP leaders met the governor in the evening and submitted a represenation to him. Later, speaking to reporters, TDP leader and former minister M Narsimhulu and others said the TDP members were suspended from the House for raising their voice against the government.
''What is wrong if we pose a question about Nizamabad MP K Kavita? TDP member A Revanth Reddy was referring to a newspaper report and what is wrong in it?'' Narsimhulu questioned.
Stating that the suspension was most 'undemocratic,' the TDP leaders said chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was behaving in an autocratic manner. They said the government is fooling the people by presenting an unrealistic budget.
'Time is not far that a people's movement will rise against the governance of the TRS,'' they warned.
Earlier in the day, activists of Telangana Jagruti, a cultural wing headed by Kavita, staged a protest in front of Revanth Reddy's house in the city. They damaged some window panes of the house. In the evening, the TDP delegation visited Revanth Reddy's house and met the leader.
