New land acquisition policy soon: Dy CM Hyderabad, Nov 15 (INN): Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali on Saturday informed that Telangana State Legislative Assembly that the State Government has decided to introduce a new comprehensive land acquisition policy in the State.
In his reply to a question raised by MLAs Koppula Eshwar and others, Mahmood Ali, who also holds the Revenue Department portfolio, said that the orders have been issued by the government notifying the draft Rules called "Telangana State Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Rules, 2014" and inviting the objections or suggestions from all the persons likely to be affected within 15 days from the date on which the copies of this notification as published in the Telangana State Gazette are made available to the public.
After expiry of above stipulated period and taking into the consideration of Objections and Suggestions, the final notification will be issued and then onwards, all the Land Acquisition proceedings will be taken up as per the new LA Act, 2013.
