Defections should not be encouraged: BJP
Hyderabad, Nov 17 (INN): BJP floor leader Dr K Lakshman on Monday alleged that the TRS Government was indulging more in politics than ensuring debates on public issues in the State Legislative Assembly.
Speaking to media persons at Assembly media point, Lakshman strongly condemned the attempts by ruling TRS to encourage defections in opposition parties.
He said the culture of defections was not in the interest of democracy and it should end. He said that both the government and opposition should focus on having discussions on people's problems than wasting time discussion politics.
CPI MLA R Ravinder Kumar also criticised the TRS Government for encouraging defections in opposition groups.
