Tallest tower to come up at Sanjeevaiah Park Hyderabad: The world's tallest building is going to come up at Sanjeevaiah Park on the banks of Hussainsagar, if the plans of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao work out.
The Chief Minister, who had earlier proposed to build skyscrapers all around the picturesque Hussainsagar lake enhancing its beauty and appeal, on Monday zeroed in on Sanjeevaiah Park to construct the world's tallest building.
The sky scraper might be more than 830 meters or 2,722 ft. high and it would dwarf the present highest building in the world Burj Khalifa of Dubai of United Arab Emirates.
Following instructions from the Chief Minister on the availability of lands for construction of high-rise buildings, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation officials submitted the details of the lands to KCR at an official review meeting.
KCR asked the officials to retain the beauty of the Sanjeevaiah Park while constructing the high-rise building. Besides the world's tallest building, the Chief Minister approved construction of skyscrapers at Patigadda, Nursing College, Dilkush Guest House and Raghava Towers.
It may be mentioned that the Y S Rajasekhara Reddy government in 2007 proposed to construct 100-plus storeyed building at 100-acre business district at Manchirevula on the outskirts of Hyderabad.
The task was entrusted to the AP Industrial Infrastructure Corporation, which also proposed to construct another 10-12 multi-storeyed buildings, each having 30-storeys, on the lines of Manhattan of the United States or Nariman Point of Mumai.
It was proposed that the trade tower would house corporates, hotels and other establishments. The APIIC also called for a pre-bidding meeting in which 22 international players participated of which two parties ' one from India and another from Israel were finalized. But the project was later shelved.
