Naidu with a large contingent left for Japan
HYDERABAD: Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu left for Japan with a large contingent of 18-member delegation to attract investments for the truncated state. He will be back on November 29 night.
During his six-day visit, Naidu would also study Japanese city model in 'Chiba', smart city in Japan, to emulate its architecture while constructing the new capital of AP.
Finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, Municipal minister P Narayana and government advisors Parakala Prabahkar and J Satayanarayna, AP special representative at New Delhi K Rammohan Rao, MPs - Galla Jayadev and CM Ramesh - are the members of the delegation.
During his visit, Naidu will make a detailed power-point presentation about various opportunities in Andhra Pradesh for the investors in Japan.
Naidu is likely to meet top officials of more than a dozen entities, including telecom and internet major Softbank, electronics major Panasonic, Hitachi, Mitsubishi Corporation, Maruti Suzuki, Shin Maywa, port development company Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK) and Bank of Tokyo- Mitsubishi UFJ, in Japan.
The extensive state government-industry consultations are being organised and facilitated by government agency, Japan External Trade Organization (Jetro) and the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI).
Starting his visit from Osaka on November 24, Naidu would address the IT forum in Kyoto the next day, meet the top brass of Japan International Cooperation Association (Jica) on November 27 and visit Chiba smart city and the Yokohama port on the same day.
During his tour Naidu and his team would study the development model the Asian giant and showcase the investment possibilities in Andhra Pradesh.
