Restore security for Congress leaders: Venkatreddy
Hyderabad, Nov 24 (INN): Congress MLA Ramreddy Venkatreddy on Monday demanded that the State Government restore the security for Congress leaders in Telangana State.
Raising the issue during Zero Hour in the State Legislative Assembly, Venkatreddy strongly condemned withdrawal of security for several former ministers, legislators and MPs belonging to Congress party.
He said former minister and present TPCC President Ponnala Lakshmaiah has been given just 1+1 security guard. Stating that the State Government would be solely responsible if anything happens to any Congress leaders, he demanded that the security be restored for all leaders facing threat to their lives.
Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy assured the Congress MLA of considering his demand.
