Hindustan Chamber of Commerce team visit Sri City
Sri City, Dec 16 (INN): A 30-member delegation from the Hindustan Chamber of Commerce (HCC), Chennai, led by its President Dr. N.R. Dave visited Sri City on Tuesday.
Sri City Foundation President Ramesh Subramaniam extended a warm welcome and Raghini Peter, Sr. Vice President, Marketing, Sri City briefed them on the infrastructure and the unique features of Sri City.
The visiting dignitaries represent a wide spectrum of industries and business firms. They all actively interacted and evinced keen interest in knowing more about Sri City and the industrial units that have come from different parts of the world. Following the briefing session, the visitors went round the campus and had a close glimpse of some of the units.
Appreciating the initiatives taken by the Sri City management in developing such a mega industrial park, Dr. Dave said,"We were all astonished to see the systematic, disciplined design of this township with excellent infrastructure needed for manufacturing, residence, hospitals and social projects. I am sure, soon Sri City will be one of the best designed and developed projects in our country."
Commenting on the visit Ravindra Sannareddy, Managing Director, Sri City said, "Visit of HCC members is very important for us, as they lead business across diversified industries.
HCC, an organised body that could speak for the business community as a whole, acts as a bridge between the Industry, business class and the Governments, and facilitates industrial progress and prosperity."
"Their views and suggestions will be useful for making Sri City a mega industrial hub, suitable even for small and medium enterprises," he added.
HCC, which is affiliated to the Federation of India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), protects and promotes trade, commerce and industry in our country. It serves as an effective channel of communication between the Central and State Government on the one side, and the trade, commerce, industry and the public on the other.
HCC issues certificate of origin to the eligible exporters. It conducts training programmes on subjects like central excise, sales tax, income tax as well as foreign trade.
