RGIA among the top three airports in world

Hyderabad, Feb 17 (INN): The Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), operated and managed by GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL), has been ranked 3rd Best Airport in the World in 5-15 Million Passengers Per Annum (MPPA) category in the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Awards announced by the Airports Council International (ACI), the global body of airports, for 2014.

The RGIA has retained its position among the top three airports in its category for the 6th consecutive year in the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) survey by ACI, with a score of 4.82 for year 2014.

According to GHIAL CEO SGK Kishore, the RGIA has consistently been rated amongst the top 3 airports in the world, since its inception. This accomplishment reflects RGIA's unflinching endeavour to constantly strive to deliver service excellence and offer the best to the travellers from all across the globe.

The annual ACI ASQ Awards recognize & reward the best airports in the world according to ACI's ASQ passenger satisfaction survey. The awards represent the highest possible accolade for airport operators and are an opportunity to celebrate the commitment of airports worldwide to continuously improve the passenger experience.

The ASQ survey has become the world's leading airport passenger satisfaction benchmarking survey with over 300 airports participating.

Kishore said 'We are honored that RGIA continues to be ranked among the top three airports in its category for the 6th consecutive year by ACI.

Last year we were one of the few Airports who were awarded the ACI Director General's Roll of Excellence for consistently being in the top 3 rankings in the world in its category for 5 consecutive years.

Winning this again for the 6th year, reflects our commitment for delivering a high quality passenger experience on a consistent basis.

ACI's ASQ award is a major achievement for an airport and its community and the entire credit for this recognition goes to our stakeholders, partners, concessionaires and employees who have consistently delivered a memorable and delightful experience to our customers, that has enabled us to become one of the best in the world.'

The ACI which carries out surveys at 300 airports around the world ranks the airports on the basis of airport service quality surveys which represent passenger feedback on 34 key service indicators.

RGIA is known globally for its excellent passenger facilities and customer experience. The airport has well established systems and processes integrated with all stakeholders and this has enabled RGIA to achieve the common goal of 'passenger delight'.

Despite competition from much newer airports in the region, the airport continues to maintain its reputation for setting standards in airport service quality.
