Electronic services key to success: Sudhakar Hyderabad, May 5 (INN): Electronic based services offered by India Post in Andhra Pradesh circle was the key behind the successful performance here, said Chief Postmaster General of AP Circle B.V. Sudhakar.
Speaking to the media persons here on Tuesday, after inaugurating first India Post ATM at Hyderabad G.P.O, he informed that number of initiatives' is being taken for the benefit of customers. We planned to establish three more similar ATMs in Secunderabad, Jubilee Post office and in Kurnool in one week time, he said.
'India Post is establishing total 95 ATMs across Telangana and A.P. State soon. Out of 95 ATMs, 36 are establishing in Telangana State. All the Head Post Offices in both the states are already in CBS platform. About 2,438 Sub Post Offices in both Telangana and A.P. States are also being upgraded to CBS Platform during 2015-16," he said.
About 90 per cent post offices in the country are located in rural areas and for the benefit of the rural people, India Post soon launch mobile recharge and bill payment facilities at Post offices by March 2016. Ticket rule for Tirumala-Tirupathi Devastanam are also relaxed. From now onwards, family head can purchase the darshanam ticket and there is no need for the other family members to come to post office, he said.
Postal Customers using Core Banking Solutions can have benefits of anytime and anywhere banking (online mediums / SMS), increase in quality of the service provided to the customers, timely and accurate information for management decision making. Customers can be withdrawn up to Rs. 10,000/- in a Single transaction and Rs. 25,000/- in a single day from ATM.
