Watch: Manchu Lakshmi bashing men with 'Yaandiro'
There is a sudden urge for actors to sing and this is happening across all south film industries. Actors such as NTR,Pawan, Nikhil, Swati, Nithiin, Manchu Vishnu and Mnaoj turned singers in their respective films.
Now the new entrant to the league is Manchu Lakshmi. After dabbling with TV, acting and film production, Lakshmi Manchu now turned as a singer. She crooned a song in her forthcoming film, Dongata, directed by Vamsi Krishna. Lakshmi completed the recording in four hours flat.
Filmmakers released the making of Lakshmi Manchu song making video. It at once attracted the attention of all. The song is in theenmar style and it gives message how the women are treated in society and the disparities in treating men and women differently in our society. The song criticizes the male attitude towards women in our society, with a tinge of feminist perspective.
The number, composed by Raghu Kunche and he was all praise on Lakshmi. "The song has a heavy influence of teenmaar and she did a great job. We made sure that she felt comfortable while singing the song and didn't stretch the notes too far," says Raghu.
"I thank Raghu and lyricist Varikuppala Yadagiri for giving me a superb song with simple lyrics," Lakshmi says.
